50th Party Day!
On Friday 12th April we held a party day in school. Its started with an assembly held by Mr Smeaton, where the children learnt all about the history of our school and how much it has (or hasn’t changed) since the very beginning, the children were very excited as we shared some photos of Bessacarr Primary through the years!
After this we had a day full of exciting activities. There was bouncy castles, face painting, a disco, a penalty shootout with Donny Dog and various other activities going on throughout the day! We also had a chocolate raffle, with prizes for each class!
Finally to mark the occasion, each child received a celebratory bun, which were kindly made by our wonderful school cook – Mrs El-Malak and a commemorative bear, which were bought with the money raised from the various quiz nights and non uniform days we have held to celebrate this year!
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been involved in our 50th celebrations, whether it be through donations, sourcing materials for us, providing help at various events.
A huge shout out to the following:
Mr and Mrs McGuirk-Wright and Wright Dental Practice
Donny Dog and Club Doncaster Foundation
Bessacarr Bouncy Castles
Parent Network helpers
All our wonderful staff
To everyone who donated chocolate for our raffle
Finally to the 50th Anniversary Committee comprising of Mrs Bright, Mrs Turnbull, Mrs Muskett and Mr Smeaton who organised all the events and planned the fundraising!
We look forward to the next 50 years at our fantastic school!
